LAWSON'S DRY HILLS MARLBOROUGH 2007
Green-gold in colour, lemon, honeycombe and lanolin lead the nose, with a shadow of oxidative "old wine" in the background. In the mouth a cloak of rounded, malolactic smoothness is soon whisked away by the spiritous alcohol (14.5%) and spicy, butterscotch and citrus flavours abound. Interesting to have a 2007wine held back for release, meaning it now has a limited cellar life. It offers a useful match for spicy food. Recommended retail $28.
RS 2 g/l. pH 3.36. Production 1000 cases. Ripeness at harvest 24 brix.
